I was brought up with Middle Whites the Jaxons Herd (Parents) exported all over the world, also tested against other breeds with PIDA and MLC pure breeds and also Xbreds with a Pietrain, testing stations at Selby etc.

When I got married they gave me a Purity sow, as they were concentrating on Large Whites and Welsh as foreign visitors would see the Middle Whites and thought you had rhinitis in the herd, so I carried on the family tradition.

Mr Hill (Tibshelf) gave me a Captain boar and I bought a Sladepark Almarose from Joan Staig, who went on to win the RASE for three years , and a Captain boar ended up Reserve  Traditional Interbreed at RASE.(Mr G Cloke bought this boar for RBST which was formed in 1978 to collect semen from). I also sold a Middle White boar from the RASE to the Emperor of Japan

I also won Birmingham Fatstock Show with Chester White (Semen kindly gifted from Mr G Cloke) x Middle Whites when there were over 200 pairs of pigs shown then, and with a well-respected Judge Mr Ryman (Wall Herd of Large Whites).

It is a great honour to be President again, as I have always a soft spot in my heart for them. They remind me of all the people who helped me to start breeding Pedigree animals, my parents, Mr W Hill (Tibshelf), Mr G Cloke, Mr L Organ (Southam) and Mr A Mercer (Harlston)who helped me in many ways, so through them it has taught me to always help future breeders and youth with the knowledge learnt from them.
